Leng Review recommendations: FOI release
Information requested
1. Has the Scottish Government formally adopted, or does it intend to adopt, any of the recommendations of the Leng Review? (e.g. name change, not seeing undifferentiated patients etc).
2. Has any guidance, direction, or instruction been issued by the Scottish Government to NHS bodies regarding the implementation of the Leng Review recommendations? If so, please provide copies of relevant documents or correspondence.
3. Has the Scottish Government undertaken any consultation or stakeholder engagement in relation to implementing the Leng Review findings? Please provide copies of any materials related to such activities (e.g. emails, meeting minutes, response summaries).

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested in the format you asked for.
In relation to your first question - Has the Scottish Government formally adopted, or does it intend to adopt, any of the recommendations of the Leng Review? (e.g. name change, not seeing undifferentiated patients etc)? The Scottish Government has not reached a formal position the recommendations from the Leng Review and so unfortunately it is not possible to answer this question at this stage.
In relation to your second question, I have attached all communication that has issued to NHS Bodies at this stage from the Scottish Government.
In relation to your final question, the Scottish Government will be engaging with the MAPs Programme Board in relation to the Leng Review recommendations as the Governments formal mechanism for MAPs advice. The minutes of meetings can be found via NHS Scotland Medical Associate Professions (MAPs) Programme Board | Turas | Learn.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reasons why we don't have the information are due to the fact that the Leng Review was only recently published.
