Information requested

The cost of creating the new position of Cabinet Secretary for Housing. Please break down all costs involved, including, for example, creating new office space, buying new stationery, hiring new staff or special advisers, purchasing new signage or business cards, etc.

Response

Following the establishment of the Cabinet Secretary for Housing, I can confirm that no costs have been incurred. Existing staff were redeployed to support the new portfolio following the departure of three ministers. Office accommodation was allocated from within the existing ministerial footprint, making best use of available space.

The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for. This is because no costs were incurred. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
