Information requested

I would be grateful if you were able to provide data on medical (i.e. Doctors) who have died in service over the past 10 years. If it were possible for this data to be categorised in to age brackets, large enough to maintain confidentiality but small enough to permit analysis, that would be helpful. If you could also provide the data by employing NHS healthboard. If it were possible to also provide data on the sub-speciality of the doctors, even if it is community vs hospital, or, if more granularity were possible, medical/surgical/community, that would be helpful.

Response

Due to the way we hold data on our records, we are unable to break down the deaths in the categories you require. Instead, any professional with the title “Dr” within our NHS scheme has been analysed, which may include both medical and dental professionals. This has been broken down into age and health boards, by year of death. Please see attached tables.
