Information requested
All documentation held by the Scottish Government, including correspondence sent and received (including internal), briefings, minutes and notes from meetings, analysis, which mentions the word Erdogan, from the last three months.
Response
1. I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.
2. Some emails mentioning the word “Erdogan” were automated news alerts from colleagues who have signed up for news alerts from Politico. These articles are available from https://www.politico.eu/?s=Erdogan. Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you.
3. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under sections s28(1), s30(c) and s38(1)(b) of FOISA apply to that information. The reasons why those exemptions apply are explained in the Annex to this letter.
