For the first part of your request
Any correspondence sent from Siobhian Brown to the UK Home Office, since 19 February 2025, on the UK’s Equipment Theft (Prevention) Act 2023 and its implementation.
Following a search of our records, I can confirm that no information is held. This is a formal notice under S.17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
For the second part of your request
Any correspondence sent from officials of the Scottish Government to the UK Home Office, since 19 February 2025, on the UK’s Equipment Theft (Prevention) Act 2023 and its implementation.
I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible an exemption under section 38(1) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested which has been Redacted under Section 38(1)(b) – personal data of a third party.
This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
