Remediable Service Statement (RSS) letters issued from October 1st 2024: FOI release
Information requested
1. How many RSS letters offers were issued in that time period to officers that were retired and their whole matured pension was entirely in the ‘1987 scheme’ (ie… none of their pension contributions were in the CARE scheme).
2. How many RSS letters offers were issued in that time period to officers that were retired and were impacted by the tapering / switch to CARE scheme and are being considered under terms of the McLeod remedy.
Response
1. 2704 RSS letters were issued to protected members from 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2025.
2. 106 RSS letters were issued to members who were either unprotected or tapered from 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2025.
