Information requested

1. Assuming that everyone affected by the remedy would choose to revert to the 1987 Police pension, what is the total amount of money still to be paid to said pensioners?

2. Of the remedy monies already paid to police pensioners, how much has been paid in interest to said pensioners?

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. This is in relation to question 1 of your request as this is a hypothetical assumption, for which we do not hold the information.

Question 2 - From our records, a total of £4.097 million in interest has been paid to Remedy members since processing began in 2023-24. This includes amounts paid to members via the Police Scotland Payroll and payments made directly by SPPA.
