Information requested

The number of Civil/Structural Engineers who are permanently employed with Scottish Government, including a breakdown of their grade. Also to include how many of these are Chartered Engineers.

Response

The answer to your question is: Based on our workforce data on engineering jobs we have one (1) Civil/Structural Engineer permanently employed in the Scottish Government. They are grade C1.

We don’t hold aggregable data on people’s qualifications, but there is an expectation within the engineering profession that any Civil Engineer at grade B3 or above would hold chartered status.
