Information requested
How many displaced Ukrainian people have been welcomed into Scotland through the Super Sponsor Scheme? How many displaced Ukrainian people have been welcomed into Scotland through the Homes for Ukraine Scheme? How much funding has Scotland provided in aid to Ukraine every year since 2022?
Response
Point 1 – Search of statistics from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government published on 27 February 2025 shows 21,556 displaced Ukrainian people have been welcomed to the UK through the Scottish Super Sponsor Scheme.
Point 2 – Search of statistics from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government published on 27 February 2025 shows 6,778 displaced Ukrainian people have been welcomed to the UK with a Scottish individual sponsor through the Homes for Ukraine Scheme.
You can find the publication at Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme: Visa data by country, upper and lower tier local authority - GOV.UK. Please note that as the movements of visaholders are not routinely tracked after their arrival in the country, it cannot necessarily be inferred that all the displaced Ukrainians referred to have settled in Scotland for the longer term.
