Response

I have now completed my review of our response to your request (original case no. 202400440063) under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for:

The summary of engagement has been provided but presented without context so it is unclear whether this was a contemporaneous note or written more recently. Could you provide the missing detail of when it was generated/written?

Secondly, while a broad description of the process by which ministers may be invited to attend events is provided in the response letter, could you please send me all the correspondence evidencing how Ms Brown came to attend Hampden Park on this occasion? This would be in accordance with my original request.

I have concluded that the original decision should be confirmed, with modification.

In answer to your first review request question the note of this event provided to you on 9 December 2024 was logged as being uploaded onto our Electronic Record and Document Management system, where official documents and records are stored by Scottish Government, on 17 July 2024.

In answer to your second review request question, I have provided the relevant correspondence as Annexes to this letter, which confirms Ministerial attendance at the event in question. Included is the invitation to Scottish Government from the Scottish Football Association and relevant correspondence between officials and private office to that effect.
