Scottish Government employees and ancillary staffing costs: FOI release
Information requested
The previous 3 years staffing and employment costs in regards to the running of the Scottish Government employees and ancillary staffing costs to include each and every level of pay scales and further any ancillary or sub-contracted costs in regards to staffing and employment.
Response
The Scottish Government’s annual consolidated accounts provide a breakdown of operating costs in Note 5f. The scope of the operating costs in Note 5f covers Scottish Government as well as several other public bodies. We have interpreted your request as relating to core Scottish Government, in line with the structuring of consolidated accounts. We have also interpreted “ancillary” staffing and employment costs to mean Employers National Insurance Contributions and Employers Pension Contributions. A breakdown of all of this information in relation to Scottish Government Core for the requested years is provided below:
