Information requested
In the last five financial years, how many incidents in relation to speeding have been recorded in the village of Roseisle in Moray? How many of these incidents have been (I) Fatal (ii) Serious (iii) Slight? In terms of recording speeding incidents, what is the (i) highest speed recorded in Roseisle for each financial year and (ii) the average speed recorded in each financial year?
Response
The main road safety information held by Transport Scotland relates to recorded injury collisions. These are road collisions where someone is injured or killed, and which become known to Police Scotland. I have checked the injury collision data that we hold and, as of the 11 December 2024, there have been no injury collisions (speed-related or otherwise) recorded in the village of Roseisle in Moray over the past 5 financial years.
Distinct of the data held on injury road collisions, Transport Scotland does not hold information regarding instances of speeding in Roseisle. Police Scotland may hold this information and can be contacted via foi@scotland.police.uk.
For reference, in conducting this analysis I defined the village as the geographic area bounded by the Eastings 313436 and 313872, and Northings 866231 and 866717.
