Information requested

1. How many former spouses who are now “ credit” members are effectively locked out the pension until aged 60 years whilst their spouse receives or will receive payment?

2. How many of these aforementioned ex spouses who are disadvantaged are female?

Response

1. There are 515 credit members in the Police Pension Scheme who are not eligible to take their benefits until age 60.

2. There are 497 of these credit members who are female.
