Woodland Creation and Woodland Improvement payments: EIR release
Information requested
Provide for each year since 2020:
A list of schemes that have received Woodland Creation Payments, including the name of the landowner, the location of the land (full address or coordinates) and the amount of grant received. A list of schemes that have received Woodland Improvement Payments, including the name of the landowner, the location of the land (full address or coordinates) and the amount of grant received.

In making this release we have followed the same approach as taken by DEFRA in publishing all CAP payments, i.e. for beneficiaries who have received less than €1,250 in total subsidy (equivalent to £1,114) in any financial year, their names are withheld, except where the scheme in question has received more than that amount over the whole period.
Regarding ‘the name of the landowner’, the attached spreadsheet provides the name of the business or individual who applied for / beneficiary of the grant scheme in question.
Regarding the locations of the land in question, the ‘property name’ field in the spreadsheet for each record provides a descriptor of each project. More detailed maps of all grant claims are available on our Open Data Portal under “Forestry Grant Scheme Options & Claims”, and can be filtered by year using the “Filter Data” > approval_year option. Individual grant claims can be highlighted by opening the relevant data set and using the “Filter Data” > case_ref option; inputting the Case Reference for a record will highlight that land on the map.
