I have now completed my review of our response to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for the financial year 2023-24. You asked for:
The number of people assisted to enter a Debt Payment Programmes under the Debt Arrangement Scheme by money advice agency (including insolvency practitioner firm). The number of certificates of sequestrates signed by agency. The number of Trust Deeds registered for protection by Insolvency Practitioner Firm.
The original response referred you to published information in relation to points 1 and 3, and advised the information at point 2 could not be provided as the cost of retrieval would exceed £600.00 and you requested a review of this decision.
I have concluded that the original decision should be modified.
In your review request you ask for a review of our decision on the grounds of costs. And comment that previous requests of this nature have been provided before, and also that the information you have referenced does not provide information as to the number of cases by agency.
I have concluded the original decision should be modified for the following reasons. It is possible to extract by computer the information requested under your point 2 from the data we hold and that there is therefore no cost to retrieve that information.
