Breakdown of each hospital’s score against the criteria that was set for the A Five-Year Forward Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Services - Neonatal /Intensive Care - Options Appraisal Report (www.gov.scot).

Response

I have now completed my review of our failure to respond to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for a breakdown of each hospital’s score against the criteria that was set for the A Five-Year Forward Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Services - Neonatal /Intensive Care - Options Appraisal Report (www.gov.scot).

In our initial response, we stated that a breakdown of the individual scores for each unit was not retained.

However, after further investigation it emerged that a colleague, who had since left the team, stored the hard copies in a secure location at the beginning of 2020 when Scottish Government staff moved to home working due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have since been able to locate the documents and can now release the information that was initially requested.

To note: the scores from individual members of the Perinatal Sub Group that undertook the options appraisal were then subject to moderation discussions across the group and with evaluators to agree the final scores.
