Disclosure Scotland staff information: FOI release
Information requested
You asked three questions relating to Disclosure Scotland staff and payments.
Response
1. The number of employees in your organisation with any of the phrase’s “diversity”, “inclusion”, “equality” or “equity” in their job title in the financial years 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26 to date. Please also provide the salaries paid to them in each of these financial years, and a list of the relevant job titles.
No employees had the following phrases in their job title during the period requested.
2. The total number of staff suspended with pay by your organisation, and the cost of paying their salaries while suspended with pay, in the financial years 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26 to date.
An exemption(s) under section s.38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to the information you have requested. This exemption applies due to the small numbers involved within the period specified, and it is not possible to provide the information in an anonymised form that would prevent the reasonable likelihood of individuals being identified. As section 38(1)(b) is an absolute exemption, the public interest test does not apply.
3. The total amount of money spent by your organisation on overtime payments in the financial years 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26 to date.
Some of the information you have requested is already available in a previously published FOI response which can be accessed at the following link: Disclosure Scotland spend: FOI release - gov.scot
Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. We have provided data for financial year 2025-26 to date only, which is not already available. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain previous financial years from the published FOI response, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.
For the 9 months to 31 December 2025 Disclosure Scotland spent £315,076.10 in overtime payments.
