Scottish Government’s negotiations with Local Government and NHS: FOI release
Information requested
Maree Todd’s letter to the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee on 6th December (available here) refers to the “Scottish Government’s tripartite negotiations with Local Government and NHS”.
In relation to these negotiations, please could you provide:
A) Agendas, minutes, papers and all other documents and meeting records. B) Any evidence papers, position statements or similar documents from local government and/or the NHS.
Response
In response to request ‘A’ and ‘B’, I enclose copies of some of the information you requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under:
29(1)(a) (formulation or development of Scottish Government policy), 29(1)(b) (Ministerial communications) 30(b)(ii) (Free and frank exchange of views) 30(b)(i) (Free and frank provision of advice) 36(1) (Claim to confidentiality of Communications) s.38(1)(b) (Personal information)
The reasons why those exemptions apply are explained later in this letter.
