Information requested

"A list of events funded or part-funded by the Scottish Government at Celtic Park, Ibrox Stadium, Hampden Park, and Murrayfield Stadium in the last 10 full financial years (2015/16-2024/25) and 2025/26 (up to December 31). This should be broken down by year with how much government money was spent on each individual event and details of the event itself and the part the government played".

Date Total Spend Purpose 2 June 2016 £10213.15 – Murrayfield Stadium 28 September 2017 £8004.16 – Hampden Park Scottish Procurement and Property Directorate part fund the Supplier Development Programme. A series of meet the buyer events have taken place over the years. These are aimed towards helping Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from across Scotland meet buyers. These events provide access to buyers and decision makers across the public and private sector. Costs incurred include venue hire, AV Hire, Set up of additional stands/suites/rooms in advance of event 5 June 2018 £10368.80 – Murrayfield Stadium 13 November 2019 £7407.40 – Hampden Park 5 June 2024 £12920.00 – Hampden Park 4 June 2025 £11328.00 – Murrayfield Stadium 19 November 2018 SG awarded funding of £18,000 to Adoption UK and the Association for Fostering, Kinship and Adoption in 2018/19 to support a programme of events and engagements during Adoption week, of which this event was part. Event on 19 November at Murrayfield Stadium was to commence Adoption Week Scotland 2018. The event was organised by Adoption UK, SG does not hold detail of the cost of this specific event. The purpose of Adoption Week Scotland was to raise the profile of adoption in Scotland as a route to permanence for care experienced young people, as well as providing support, advice and information for all those involved in adoption. Scottish Government officials and former First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon MSP, attended the event. The former First Minister delivered the closing address. 07 March 2019 £13,210.29 Third Sector Interface Conference – “Collaborative Local Leadership” at Murrayfield Stadium. This was the first Third Sector Interface Conference since October 2017 and the first to be run by the Third Sector Unit (previously organised by Voluntary Action Scotland). The purpose of the conference was to: Consider major issues affecting the third sector Hear from inspiring national and local leaders Exchange information and discuss policy updates Opportunities for networking Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government gave the Welcome alongside Vice President of COSLA. Updates from Scottish Government Officials on the Local Governance review and Charities Law Consultation and closing reflection from Director for Local Government and Communities, Scottish Government. 2019/20 £16,440 Murrayfield SG organised event to clarify legal requirements related to ALS and share creative practice to improve implementation. 25 January 2024 £11,511.72 Scottish Procurement and Property Directorate Meeting held at Murrayfield Stadium. This event was held to support strategic alignment, cross-team collaboration, and staff capability development. An external venue was used to provide adequate capacity, accessibility, and a focused environment to enable effective engagement. 2025/26 £6,020 Murrayfield Learning and Data Summit, SG organised event to meet a Programme for Government commitment.
