Silvan House, Edinburgh refurbishment costs: FOI release
Information requested
1. SG carried out a refurbishment of the 1st floor east and the 2nd floor of Silvan House Edinburgh then vacated a short time later. Can you confirm the cost of the refurbishment work carried out.
2. As Silvan House was a leased building - I presume there would be a dilapidations payment due to the landlord. I believe that SG led the negotiations. Can you confirm the Total amount paid to the land lord for dilapidations on Silvan House.
Response
1. The cost of the refurbishment work carried out on the 1st floor east and 2nd floor at Silvan was £184,031.
2. A dilapidations liability of £3.1m was payable to the landlord in accordance with the terms of the lease agreement. The liability was split across the tenants based on the amount of space and the number of years each occupied the building.
