Did the First Minister receive any briefings before these meetings took place? Who arranged these meetings? Was any record kept of the topics discussed and if so will it be published?

The answer to your question is:
The First Minister received briefings ahead of all scheduled meetings at COP28. The First Minister's meetings at COP28 were arranged by Scottish Government officials in coordination with foreign government counterparts. A record was kept of the First Minister’s meetings – including topics discussed - and will be published here in due course: Ministerial engagements, travel and gifts: August 2023 - gov.scot (www.gov.scot)
