Glasgow Low Emission Zone (LEZ): EIR release
Information requested
The number of vehicles awaiting retro-fitting and the number of vehicles (owners), who have paid a deposit and are awaiting fitting of the VRS solution.
Response
Transport Scotland provides grant funding for the LEZ Retrofit Fund that has supported over 380 taxis in Scotland to achieve the LEZ entry standard. This funding is administered by Energy Savings Trust who have provided the following data for your request based on the numbers of taxis and owners with valid grant offers as of 6 December 2023:
Number of vehicle owners that have paid a deposit and are awaiting retrofitting of the VRS solution – 34 Number of vehicles with a paid deposit that are awaiting retrofitting of the VRS solution – 34 Number of vehicle owners that have paid a deposit and are awaiting retrofitting of the Cybrand solution – 56 Number of vehicles with a paid deposit that are awaiting retrofitting of the Cybrand solution – 58
