Information requested

Information on where the £100m announced by the First Minister for culture is anticipated to come from, specifically if it is linked to the Rosebank oil field.

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section s.27(1) (Information intended for future publication) of FOISA applies to that information. The reasons why that exemption applies are explained in the Annex to this letter. In relation to the Rosebank oilfield, all offshore exploration, production licensing and the fiscal regime (which is how profits from all offshore oil and gas production are taxed) are reserved to the UK Government.
