Request for information 1: From 20/01/2020 to 20/01/2023. An up to date information of the exact number of recipients of the Social Security Scotland Disability Payment whose address is currently a prison address in their Social Security Scotland Adult Disability Payment benefits claims.

Request for information 2: From 20/01/2020 to 20/01/2023. An up to date information of the exact number of recipients of the Social Security Scotland Disability Payment whose address is either hotel, emergency accommodations, or any other type of accommodation without payment of council tax.

Request for information 3: From 20/01/2023 to 20/01/2023. An up to date exact amount that has been paid to the Scottish Prison Services on behalf of the recipients of the Social Security Scotland Disability Payment.

Request for information 4: The name or names of the organization responsible for the appointment of James Wallace as Deputy Director of Finance and Corporation.

Request for information 5: The date or dates James Wallace was appointed Deputy Director of Finance and Corporation of Social Security Scotland.

Request for information 6: A copy of the job advertisement for the position of the Deputy Director of Finance and Corporation before the appointment of James Wallace.

Request for information 7: James Wallace previous employment history before his appointment.

Requests for information 1, 2 and 3: While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Social Security Scotland does not hold the information you have requested. Social Security Scotland does not maintain a list of prison addresses, hotels, emergency accommodations or accommodations without payment of council tax against which to measure the number of applications from those addresses. Social Security Scotland does not pay Scottish Prison Service on behalf of recipients of any Disability Payment.

Request for information 4: Scottish Government were responsible for the appointment of James Wallace as Deputy Director of Finance and Corporate Services.

Request for information 5: James Wallace was appointed as Deputy Director of Finance and Corporate Services on 9 September 2019.

Request for information 6: The advert for the post of Deputy Director of Finance and Corporate services is attached. A small amount of information has been redacted as it is personal data of a third party and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
