Road casualties data for Scotland 2015-2021: FOI release

Information requested

For each year, 2015 to 2021, and for fatal and serious accidents which involved a pedal cycle, please provide data for the numbers of each contributory factor allocated to:

Pedal cyclists; and All other vehicles involved (i.e. non-pedal cyclists).

Response

Please find the requested information in the attached spreadsheet. Please note that due to a change in the way the severity of casualties was recorded in mid-2019, comparison of serious casualties before and after 2020 should be treated with caution.
