Information requested

Copies of all correspondence between the Scottish Government including the Chief Veterinary Officer for Scotland and the U.K. Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs regarding possible legislative action to restrict the sale of fur and foie products between 1st January 2020 and 23rd January 2023.

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested. The evidence you have requested can be found in the attached Annex A.

Regulation 10(5)(f) of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (the EIRs) allows a Scottish public authority to withhold environmental information if its disclosure would, or would be likely to, cause substantial prejudice to the interests of a person who provided information voluntarily to the authority. This exception is designed to encourage the voluntary flow of information to public authorities.

Where this is the case the redacted data will be replaced with [Redacted] - Section 10 (5) (f) – Third Party Information. Under The Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, Section 11 (2) (3) Exceptions, - Where the environmental information requested includes personal data, the authority shall not make those personal data available otherwise than in accordance with Regulation 11. As the details are not that of the applicant the personal data has been redacted and replaced with [Redacted] - Section 11 (2) - Personal Information.
