The Scottish Government does not provide funding to, LGBT Consortium, Mermaids, Switchboard, LGBT Foundation, Press for Change, Albert Kennedy Trust, Trans Media Watch, Pink Therapy, FFLAG, MESMAC, Hidayah LGBT, Gendered Intelligence, GIRES, Trans Unite, Kaleidoscope Trust or Centred.

Details of public funded grants made to Stonewall Scotland and LGBT Youth Scotland, are given below:

Stonewall

Stonewall receives funding under the Equality and Human Rights Budget Funding for its work enhancing Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Transgender (LGBT) Inclusion in Scottish Public Life. The amounts received by Stonewall for 2017-20 is available in the public domain and can be found at https://www.gov.scot/publications/equality-national-intermediary-bodies-funding-2017-2020/ and for 2021 onwards at https://www.gov.scot/publications/equality-and-human-rights-fund-projects-funded/ Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. For 2020/21, the grant funding was awarded on 2 June 2020, for 2021/22 on 13 September 2021 and for 2022/23 on 30 September 2022.

LGBT Youth Scotland

In the 2020/21, LGBT Youth Scotland received funding as part of Scottish Government’s national Violence Against Women and Girls Funding. This was to support LGBTI young people who experienced Gender Based Violence to share their experiences, review services for inclusive-practices, engage with key decision-makers, and inform their peers and other professionals. The project also included training delivery and support of the LGBT Charter process for Gender Based Violence services to ensure that they undertook best practice for LGBTI women and LGBTI children and young people. In 2020/21 and 2022/23LGBT Youth Scotland also received funding under the Equality and Human Rights Fund for its programme of work that aims to reduce the discrimination experienced by LGBTI young people and the wider community; to build the capacity of public bodies to meet their needs; to engage directly with communities and provide opportunities for LGBTI young people to engage in civic Scotland.
