Information requested

How many meetings have there been between Cabinet Office officials (and ministers) and Scottish Government since December 15th 2022 regarding the Infected Blood Inquiry?

How many meetings have been held between the same officials/ministers since Sir Brian Langstaffs Compensation report published on 5th April 2023?

Please advise how many of these meetings the Paymaster General Jeremy Quin MP has attended.

Response

The answer to your question is: There have been nine meetings between Cabinet Office Officials and Scottish Government since 15 December 2022 (inclusive).

Five of these meetings were regular meetings held between officials on the Infected Blood Support Schemes where Cabinet Office attended to provide updates on the Infected Blood Inquiry. Four meetings were specifically focussed on a framework for compensation.

Two of these meetings were held following the publication of Sir Brian Langstaff's Compensation Report on 5 April 2023.

As the meetings were officials' meetings, Paymaster General Jeremy Quin MP was not in attendance. However, a quadrilateral Ministerial meeting is now planned for 12 June 2023 and Paymaster General Jeremy Quin MP is expected to attend.
