The number of veterans currently employed across Transport Scotland for the past seven years
At 28 December 2022 there were 7 Transport Scotland employees who had self-selected a veteran status of either “Yes, regular armed forces” or “Yes, reserve armed forces” in response to the question “Have you previously served in the UK Armed Forces?” on our HR system. The HR system was updated to introduce self-service selection of veteran status information in December 2021. This means that historical data for 7 years is not held. Additionally, as this information is collected by a self-service form it is possible that there are veterans who have not yet completed this question, meaning the data may be incomplete.
If possible, the breakdown by males and females
Sex is a “protected characteristic” under the Equality Act 2010. Our disclosure control practices mean that we suppress information where a group contains between 1 and 4 members. We do this to prevent possible identification of an individual member of staff. In this case, at least one of the groups (Male/Female) contains a small number of individuals meaning that both groups must be suppressed. We are unable to provide this breakdown for you.
The roles these veterans are currently employed within
We use Job Titles to identify roles. In this case there were 7 unique job titles returned by the query. This means that due to the disclosure control process detailed above we will not be able to provide this information as to do so might identify an individual.
