Information requested

You asked for the most up to date data regarding the number of people in Scotland aged 16+ who have never worked. You also asked us to provide this data when we remove full-time students and if possible to provide a breakdown by region across Scotland. You asked us to provide the most recent data with an indication of which year and month the data refers to.

Response

1. I enclose a copy of the information you requested.

2. The information is sourced from the ONS Annual Population Survey, a National Statistics source for Labour Market Statistics.

3. We ask that you note the estimates provided show the number of people aged 16 to 64 who have never worked by full-time education status and Scottish regions rather than those aged 16 and over to align with estimates produced by the Office for National Statistics; the owners of the data.
