Information requested

To find out how many educational psychologists there are in the whole of Scotland and how many there will be in 2024, and if any what would the reduction/addition be and the reasons why.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government doesn't have all the information you have requested. The latest information we have on number of education psychologists is published in the school support staff statistics:

Note that this information is published on an hours per week basis with an estimation of FTE also provided. The Scottish Government doesn’t have any information on the number of educational psychologists in 2024. However, 26 trainees are expected to be newly qualified in 2024, assuming no fails or drop-outs.
