Scottish Government Recruitment budget 2021 - 2022: FOI release

Advise on the following questions for the period 1st April 2021 - 31st March 2022: 1. What was the total allocated recruitment budget for this period? 2. What were the total recruitment advertising costs with all job boards and external agencies for this period (not including temporary agency staff)? 3. What were the total costs for all of your temporary agency staff for the above period? 4. Who were these suppliers? 5. What was the total cost per supplier? If this is outside the scope of the FOIA, or if the time required to answer the full request exceeds the limit specified, please answer what you can and advise and assist on the best way to uncover the remaining information.
Response
1. What was the total allocated recruitment budget for this period? 1. The Scottish Government recommend that section 12 FOISA - the £600 cost limit - is applied in this instance as we are unable to retrieve information based on each Directorate being responsible for their own budget. Therefore the cost on this would be in excess of the £600 limit. 2. What were the total recruitment advertising costs with all job boards and external agencies for this period (not including temporary agency staff)? 2. All recruitment for Scottish Government are advertised through Home - Work For Scotland (work-for-scotland.org) The cost of hosting adverts on this site is £1800 per year. 3. What were the total costs for all of your temporary agency staff for the above period? 3. This is the spend information for core SG for all workers brought in via the current (3rd generation) Interim & Staff Services frameworks
