Costs relating to BiFab: FOI release
Information requested
Does the Grant Thornton Supply Chain Commercial Advice of £971k all relate to BiFab? If it doesn’t, how much relates to BiFab and what is the remainder?
Response
The answer to your question is: we do not hold this information. Much of this expenditure would be in relation to BiFab but other aspects of this work were in support of wider financial and commercial supply chain advisory services. Please note: I have to inform you that in checking the review response it was noted a transposition error had been made in the reply. The 2018-19 figures for Spark Energy and Supply Chain Commercial Advice were accidently switched. The Grant Thornton line (in the review reply) stated:
2016-17 2017-18 2018-19 2019-20 2020-21 Total Grant Thornton - £50,875 £431,879 £437,971 £400,242 £1,320,967 Supply Chain Commercial Advice - £50,875 £ 82,651 £437,971 £400,242 £971,739 Spark Energy - - £ 349,228 - - £349,228
But the figures in bold have been transposed, meaning that the correct figures are:
2016-17 2017-18 2018-19 2019-20 2020-21 Total Grant Thornton - £50,875 £431,879 £437,971 £400,242 £1,320,967 Supply Chain Commercial Advice - £50,875 £349,228 £437,971 £400,242 £1,238,316 Spark Energy - - £82,651 - - £82,651
This, of course, materially affects your inquiry as the expenditure in the Grant Thornton Supply Chain Commercial Advice line total is £1,238,316, not £971,739 as the review reply stated. Please accept my apologies for this unfortunate error. About FOI
