Information regarding implementation of the McCloud remedy: FOI release
Information requested
Under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, I would be grateful if you could provide the following information relating to the implementation of the McCloud remedy across the pension schemes administered by the Scottish Public Pensions Agency.
Please provide, for each of the four public service pension schemes overseen by the SPPA (Teachers’, NHS, Police, and Firefighters’ pension schemes), the following information for each annual period since October 1, 2023:
1) The number of pension scheme members who have received their McCloud remedy statement.
2) The number of members who have subsequently received a financial remedy payment.
3) The total value of those remedy payments in each scheme.
4) The total value of the interest payments made.
5) The value of the five highest individual remedy payments made in each scheme and the amount of the payment attributed to interest paid to the member.
If possible, please provide the information in a spreadsheet or table format (e.g., Excel or CSV).
If any part of the information requested is exempt, please provide the remainder, clearly marking any sections withheld and the clear reasons for any exemption under the Act.
