Information requested
1. All recorded correspondence between First Minister, John Swinney, and Cabinet Secretary for Education, Jenny Gilruth, related to case number 202400435364.
2. All correspondence between Education Scotland officials and Glasgow City Council officials which was referred to in a letter sent to parents on 14 October 2024 in response to case 202400435364.
3. All correspondence between Education Scotland officials (including Cabinet Secretary for Education, Jenny Gilruth) and Scottish Councils referred to in the letter sent to Miles Briggs MSP 7th January 2025 in relation to case 202400445782.

Please find responses below for Questions 1 to 3.
1. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not hold correspondence between the First Minister, John Swinney and the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, related to case number 202400435364.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA, that the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested for Question 1.
2. Please find document attached at Annex A.
3. Please find attached at Annex B some of the information you have requested.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested for Question 2 and Question 3 because exemptions under section 30(c) - prejudice to effective conduct of public affairs, and 38(1)(b) - personal information of FOISA, applies to that information. The reasons why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex C to this letter.
