Response

1. What funding, if any, is Forestry Land Scotland (FLS) receiving to do peatland restoration works in Argyll and Bute? Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is currently receiving no funding in Argyll and Bute as there are no live projects in financial year 2021/2022 (1st April 2021-31st March 2022). There are historic projects that have been completed in the geographic area and FLS will have future projects commencing in financial year 2022/2023 (1st April 2022-31st March 2023) and beyond. 2. Which body is providing this funding? Although no live projects/funding as per above response, previous and future projects have/will be funded by the Scottish Governments Peatland Action Fund, facilitated by Nature Scotland (previously Scottish Natural Heritage) and directly from FLS internal funding/resource allocation, (previously Forest Enterprise Scotland). 3. Are there any conditions or requirements attached to this funding? If so, please provide a copy of the conditions/requirements. Yes – historic project conditions are attached for the Peatland Action Fund. This attachment has been redacted in accordance with the protection of third parties under the Data Protection Act.
