1. How many miles of hedgerow have been (a) reinstated or (b) planted through agri-environment climate schemes such as Agri-environment climate scheme (AECS). 3. How much has this costed in total since the scheme or schemes started? 4. How much is it estimated to cost in the period 2021-2024?

Response

1. To date, contracts have been issued to reinstate 31 miles of hedgerows and to plant 309 miles of hedgerows through the Agri-environment climate scheme (AECS). 2. The total commitment value to reinstate and plant hedgerows through AECS is £11,623,536. 3. The value of this activity in the period 2021-2024 is currently estimated to cost £1,829,881.
