Information requested

Can you send me all communications between all government departments, and all communications sent from outside of government, or received by the government, which mention the names of any of the following people: Barack Obama, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Leonardo DiCaprio, Idris Elba, Stella McCartney, Ellie Goulding, Matt Damon, Lily Cole, and Mark Labbett. This is covering the period from 1 October 2021, through to the date the request is received.

Response

Attached is a copy of any correspondence which falls within scope of your request. An Exemption under section 38(1)(c) - Personal Information of FOISA applies to some of the information you requested. This exemption applies to the names and contact details of officials, and equivalent third party representatives below senior civil service (SCS) level and the direct contacts of more senior officials, as we are not entitled to withhold the names of more senior colleagues. This is because senior officials would have less expectation of privacy and in some cases their personal information is publically available. This exemption is not subject to the "public interest test", so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. About FOI The Scottish Government is committed to publishing all information released in response to Freedom of Information requests. View all FOI responses at http://www.gov.scot/foi-responses.
