Scottish Government network access: FOI release
Information requested
I would like to access the following information collected between 7 May 2021 and the date of the response to this request:
How many connections were made (or attempted to be made) from networks in Scottish Government buildings to pornographic websites in the above time frame. Please detail dates, times and length of the access time of any connections made in the time frame specified. Please confirm whether the Scottish Government IT system allows access to such pornographic websites.
Response
The Scottish Government web access policies block access to all websites categorised as 'Pornography' by our perimeter technology. This covers all internal and external Scottish Government network access and blocks direct or in-direct connections to blocked categories.
As such, there were zero connections made to sites categorised as 'Pornography'.
