Military Aid to Civil Authorities (MACA) requests: FOI release
Information requested
Please confirm details of all Military Aid to Civil Authorities (MACA) requests made by the Scottish Government in the 2020 calendar year and in 2021 to today’s date. In each case, please confirm the reason for the request and the nature of the work requested.
Please also provide all correspondence between the Scottish Government and (i) the Ministry of Defence and (ii) the British Army in relation to MACA requests and subsequent work carried out following a MACA request in 2020 and 2021 to today’s date
Response
In response to your first request, I attach all of the information you have asked for in Annex A.
In response to your second request, I enclose correspondence between the Scottish Government and the British Army at Annex B.
In relation to the Ministry of Defence, the Scottish Government does not correspondence directly in relation to MACA’s.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
This response relates only to those requests initiated by the Scottish Government. Other public sector bodies in Scotland, such as individual NHS Boards, may also have requested assistance. You may wish to contact other bodies should you be interested in those requests.
