COVID 19 NHS Scotland Protect Scotland App statistics: FOI release

"I’d like figures for the following regarding the NHS Scotland Protect Scotland App: 1. How many test codes have been sent out by contact tracers to app users who have tested positive since 1 January 2021? 2. How many of those test codes have subsequently been entered/inputted by app users into the protect Scotland app since 1 January 2020?"

I have assumed that in both parts of your request you are looking for data since 1 January 2021. The answer to your question is provided below. The Protect Scotland App is one part of Scotland’s measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and provides support alongside regular testing and vaccinations. The total number of app users who have been sent a code by a contact tracer is 24,307 since 1 January. The total number of people in Scotland who have entered a test result code is 8,943 since 1 January. The Scottish Government are aware that the number of people entering the code remains below where we would like it to be. However, this remains similar to other proximity apps. We continue to encourage anyone provided with a code to enter it into the app to help keep people safe in line with public health advice. About FOI
