"How much has the Scottish Government spent on NHS Scotland press and tv advertising during the lockdown restrictions?"

Response

The spend on advertising during the two phases of lockdown was as follows:

TV Advertising Press Advertising 24/03/20-29/05/20 £1,369,944 £775,061 05/01/21-27/01/21* £512,884 £130,361

* This is date the request was received so has been set as end point

These costs relate to the expenditure by the Scottish Government Marketing Team for advertising that is connected with NHS Scotland services or carried NHS Scotland branding.

The above figures do not include the cost of advertising delivered by other organisations during lockdown that may have incorporated NHS Scotland branding, such as: United Kingdom Government; Public Health Scotland; NHS 24; NHS Territorial Health Boards.
