Information on applications for the Victim Surcharge Fund: FOI release
Information requested
1. Whether victims’ organisations were able to apply for support from the Victim Surcharge Fund by 31 December 2020. 2. If they were, the number of bids received from victims’ organisations for support from the Victim Surcharge Fund by the above date. 3. The value of bids received from victims’ organisations for support from the Victim Surcharge Fund by the above date.
Response
The Victim Surcharge Fund opened for applications by victim support organisations on 14 January 2021, and no applications were received from victim's organisations prior to that date.
The deadline for applications from Organisations to the Fund is 12 February 2021, after which the aim is to make the first payments from the Fund by the end of March 2021.
