Information requested

A copy of each monthly progress report produced on the Scottish Growth Scheme to date.

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section 29(1)(a) (policy formulation) of FOISA applies to some of that information because it relates to ministerial communications and the development of the Scottish Government’s policy on the Scottish Growth Scheme.

However, the cumulative performance data on the Scottish Growth Scheme has been extracted from the internal monthly ministerial progress reports.

To 30 November 2020, under the Scottish Growth Scheme, £296.5 million of investment has been unlocked for 509 companies, in the form of debt and equity. In addition, the response to a recent Parliamentary question (S5W-34298) contains a breakdown by year of this funding, and the number of businesses that have received support under the Scottish Growth Scheme.
