Information requested

The list of organisations that Humza Yousaf consulted with relating to his statement to parliament outlining the changes made to the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Bill. Details of the correspondence between these organisations and Humza Yousaf between the dates of 1 July 2020 and 23 September 2020.

Response

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested as outlined in the attached schedule of documents.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information. The reasons why that exemption applies are explained in the Annex to this letter. Short notes of the Cabinet Secretary for Justice's meetings with these stakeholders will also be published on our Hate Crime Webpage in due course.
