You have requested the following information:

Please advise the total spend on recruitment agencies in the last during 2018/2019? Please advise what the temporary agency spend for admin, call centre, data processing and clerical roles during 2018/2019 ? Please advise what the temporary agency spend for roles such as warehouse, catering and cleaners during 2018/2019? Please advise what the permanent agency spend has been during 2018/2019 ? Which recruitment agencies have you used in the last 12 months for admin, call centre, data processing , clerical, warehouse, catering and cleaners? Which framework agreements do you use for agencies? ie Scottish Government, APUK, Crown Commercial Services? What process do recruitment agencies have to follow to be given jobs to work on? Who is responsible for engaging new recruitment agencies?

1. Please advise the total spend on recruitment agencies in the last during 2018/2019? £1,166,963

2. Please advise what the temporary agency spend for admin, call centre, data processing and clerical roles during 2018/2019? £255,278

3. Please advise what the temporary agency spend for roles such as warehouse, catering and cleaners during 2018/2019? Nil

4. Please advise what the permanent agency spend has been during 2018/2019? Permanent recruitment is not done via an agency.

5. Which recruitment agencies have you used in the last 12 months for admin, call centre, data processing, clerical, warehouse, catering and cleaners? Brightwork Ltd and Pertemps

6. Which framework agreements do you use for agencies? ie Scottish Government, APUK, Crown Commercial Services? Scottish Government framework agreements

7. What process do recruitment agencies have to follow to be given jobs to work on? Education Scotland uses the frameworks according to the guidance in the link below. For most procurements the process is via mini competition. Suppliers on the framework are invited to supply CVs and rates for suitable candidates. Candidates are interviewed and the evaluation is on a price/quality ratio. Scottish Government temporary and interim staff services frameworks

8. Who is responsible for engaging new recruitment agencies? Suppliers wishing to be included on the framework should contact the Scottish Government Procurement Directorate and monitor opportunities advertised on Public Contracts Scotland.
