Information requested

A. From 15 February to present: Copies and full details of any correspondence (email, letter, internal briefing, note, note/record of phone calls, texts/instant messages or otherwise) from civil servants and/or Scottish Councils and/or COSLA and/or any other members of Scottish Government to Housing Minister Kevin Stewart regarding the long-term planning for housing and supporting the Scottish homeless population that is temporarily residing in hotels and hostels or otherwise as a result of coronavirus. B. Details of how many civil servants are, at present, are working in the Housing and Social Justice Directorate who are directly working on homelessness portfolio/ strategy and/or policy work.

Response

We have taken the time period for this request to be between 15 February and 27 May the date of your request as being the meaning of present. I enclose a copy the information you have requested detailed in the table in annex 1 to this letter enclosed in attachments B to K . you should note that the documents have had information which is out with the scope of your request removed, with some minor redactions of email and telephone no's also being removed. In response to your question on the number of civil servants are, at present, are working in the Housing and Social Justice Directorate who are directly working on homelessness portfolio/ strategy and/or policy work. I can confirm that the answer to your question is 24 equivalent full time staff including those who have a supporting role such as statisticians and general administration.
