Information requested

“The SG published guidance for the construction sector immediately after lockdown on 23 March. That guidance included a provision that construction projects that could be completed within 5 days could be completed whilst other sites should close. After 6th April this guidance was superseded but we need this guidance. Reference and a copy of it. Please can you provide a copy of the initial construction guidance issued including the guidance that projects which could be completed in 5 days could continue ? Not accessible via the web site any more.”

Response

To clarify, the first version of the construction guidance was published on 6 April. The statement ‘Exceptionally, if sites can be safely completed within 5 working days they can be completed.’ was removed from the refreshed guidance published on 1 May as it was no longer relevant. This guidance was a development from the Coronavirus (COVID-19): business and social distancing guidance first published on 25 March, as updated on 4 April. The published construction guidance PDF can be found in Annex A of this letter.
