You asked for how much money has the Scottish Government spent to support and subsidise the development of wind turbine technology and wind generated electricity within Scotland since 2009.

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested as an electronic copy document. The answer to your question is the Scottish Government has spent £9,590,000 to support the development of wind turbine technology and wind generated electricity within Scotland since 2009. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested relating to subsidy support. The reasons why we don't have the information are explained below. The Scottish Government does not hold the information you have asked for because we are not responsible for the payment of the enhanced Renewables Obligation Certificates scheme, introduced in 2013 by Scottish Government, that supports a number of innovative Scottish wind projects.
