Context: The Scottish Government has so far received £92 million in Barnett consequentials for Brexit preparations.

a. Which councils have received funding to prepare for Brexit?

b. How much has each of these council received in funding to prepare for Brexit?

c. How many councils have submitted business cases for further funding?

Response

The answer to your question is:

All 32 councils in Scotland have so far received £50,000 each to help prepare for Brexit. No individual council has applied for funding separately, with requests being made jointly through and by COSLA. The £50,000 (£1.6 million in total) was made as a consequence of such a request. No further business cases have yet been received.
